john boehner tried to get his own party together. he's taken a few of the more extreme people in his party off of their committee assignments to try to get them onboard so that he can negotiate deals with the president. it's been very difficult. sometimes he'll negotiate something with the president and then his own party doesn't cooperate. i think there will be a little bit more effort especially in this first year to try to come together and get some things done. but time will tell. >>...
